5 Easy Online Tools to Help You Generate Content Idea
Do you get stuck trying to figure out content ideas? Do you want to continually engage with your audience but when you sit down to do it, your brain is like the Sahara? I’ve put together 5 of my “go to” solutions for writer eh creator block.
#1 – Google – Duh
Yeah, I know but hear me out. Not just google but a specific place on Google. Put your topic in and scroll about 2/3 of the way down the page and you’ll see “People also ask”. That little list is a great place to start. You can take these simple questions and create a blog, a video or a tutorial on your subject.
# 2 – The Kajabi Course Outline Generator
This thing is pretty new, and I found it very impressive. You throw your topic in and wait a minute and POOF, outcomes an entire course outline. Review your newly constructed outline and see if that prompts some ideas.
Update 7/2/24
Kajabi AI Creator Hub - So Kajabi has gone from the above amazing little course creator outline to full-on practically develop everything AI tools. Definitely worth checking out. And, yes, this is an affiliate link so I may earn money --- but I promise you, I don't recommend stuff I don't use myself.
# 3 – Answer the Public
This is another nifty tool. You put in your subject and out pops a list of the most commonly asked questions about the topic. Then, it categorizes the questions and slices and dices the information a few different ways. I put in the topic peanut butter, and it gave me a list of 80 commonly asked questions about peanut butter. Here’s my theory --- if someone’s asking about it, you can talk about it.
# - 4 - Reddit
Reddit is a bit of a cult favorite among some. This is a great place to anonymously ask questions (or answer questions) and see what other people think on a topic. You can search and read about any topic from the sublime to the ridiculous. Not only can you get content ideas from Reddit but you can also create a profile and become a subject matter expert that answers questions that get posted.
#5 – Quora
Quora share some similarities with Reddit and Answer the Public but it does have it’s own flair. There’s a lot of topics on this that are emotional in nature and don’t have a straightforward answer. I’ve seen a lot of discussion around parenting, adoption, and marriage. That said, you can just as easily find people discussing different business technology platforms.
All of these platforms are searchable and each of them has a bit of a different slant. You may find one or two work for you and some don’t. That’s ok. It’s all a part of the process. Just remember, when you get stuck, there’s help available.
